Frederick(1 mile above town), just prior to her death she requested that her husband pay off some obligations to the church-she also requested to partake of the Lord's supper (which was done by Chaplain Wiley of Ft. Whipple), she arrived in Arizona 1861 and in Prescott in 1864. ÿ ÿ "A Centenniel of Methodists 1870-1970" by Florence Yount, M.D., ÿshe never refused to serve food to someone whether they had funds or not,she and her husband owned Fort Misery (the boarding house which is now on the grounds of Sharlot Hall Museum), they also owned mines on Lynx Creek and a goat ranch.

RESOLUTON OF CONDOLENCE Arizona Miner 14 Mar 1868--Bourke was a member of the Arizona Pioneer and Historical Society which placed resolutions regarding the death of their member. FUNERAL NOTICE Arizona Miner 14 Mar 1868 3:2--Nearly all of the residents of Prescott and the members of the Arizona Pioneer and Historical Society followed the remains to the grave. " The day was a cheerless one. The weather being very bad. The mud almost knee deep, and the snow descending in large flakes; yet our people faltered not in doing their last sad duty to the honored dead." OBIT Arizona Miner--Bourke was brought to the United States as a child and lived in Maine. He moved to New York and then to California in 1849. He removed to Mohave County Arizona in the spring of 1863, later moving with his family to Prescott. He filled the position of Sheriff of Yavapai County [186 6-67] and had recently been elected to the office of County Recorder. RESEARCH BY _____ HAYDEN [Sharlot Hall Museum Achives]---He was married in California c1860. A son, John P., Jr. was born to the union c 1862 in California. Step-daughters Victoria and Louisa Zaff were brought to the marriage. John is interred in the family plot with Hariett, Victoria (Randall), step-granddaughter Henrietta Behan and several Randall infants.

She and her husband had owner and operted Lantz's Grocery for many years. Hampton Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements. Her ashes were intured in the Rose Garden at Sharlot Hall Museum.
