Hampton Funeral Home Records: He rode with Blackjack Pershing in the U. S. Cavalry on the Mexican Boarder and during WW1 he flew with Mayor Fiorelle LaGaurdia in the American Expeditionary Forces (Rainbow Division). In 1909 and 1910 he mined for gold in the Kirkland (Arizona) area and then was the owner of an oil producting company in the midwest for many years. Survivors included his wife, Noemie of San Diego, 2 sons, Gerald of Litchfield Park, Arizona and Harlan of Columbus, Ohio; a daughter, Marie Carolson of San Deigo, California and 5 grandchildren. Mt. View Crematory in Prescott was in charge of the cremation.
